My name is Reuven Cohen, owner of Zohan Barber Shop.
I moved to the United States in 2012 and continued building my career as a barber. I began working in Manhattan near Times Square before bringing my experience to Long Island.
In 2013, I began working at a barbershop in Bay Shore, New York. I quickly saw an opportunity to build something of my own—a welcoming neighborhood barbershop focused on quality service, personal attention, and lasting relationships with customers.
On May 1, 2014, I officially purchased the business.
At the time, the shop operated as A&R Hairstylist Inc. A few months later, it became Zohan Barber Shop.
The name “Zohan” began as a nickname given to me by one of my longtime customers, Austin, and his family. They thought my appearance and personality reminded them of Zohan, and the nickname stuck. Austin remains a loyal customer and close friend to this day.
More Than a Barbershop
For more than a decade, Zohan Barber Shop has proudly served Bay Shore and the surrounding Long Island community.
Barbering remains at the heart of everything we do. We provide haircuts, fades, kids’ haircuts, beard trims, hot shaves, and other grooming services, with a focus on quality, consistency, and making every customer feel comfortable and welcome.
Over the years, we have also expanded to offer convenient additional services, including watch battery replacement and watch repair, jewelry cleaning, and teeth whitening.
What matters most to us, however, is the relationship we have with our customers.
Many customers have been with us for years. We’ve had the privilege of watching children grow up, meeting new generations of families, and seeing customers become friends. That sense of community is what makes Zohan Barber Shop special.
Our philosophy is simple: provide quality service, treat every person with respect, and create a place where customers always feel welcome.
I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Zohan Barber Shop over the years and trusted us to serve them and their families.
